This little Kurinuki cottage is made from speckled stoneware clay using the Japanese technique of carving a piece from one block of clay. (Kurinuki)
Impressed with leaves from my olive trees and washed with oxides, once bisque fired, the cottage is high fired to 1200 degrees and glazed in green celadon.
The clay from the inside of the house is used for the little black olive, which hangs from the roof and the incense burner stand, which is also pressed with olive leaves. 
All cottages are individually carved and only one is available as each will be different.
A lovely addition to anyone’s home!
